Paint stripping made easier
I am stripping an old weatherboard house. I have tried wire brushes on my angle grinder and I have tried chemical paint stripper and I have tried a thermal paint stripper and they don't work well on 80 years of old paint. However the stripping disks work well and relatively quickly. They removed the paint without scarring the timber. However the disks do wear out fairly quickly. To strip a whole timber house you really need a heavy duty electric paintshaver (cost around $2000)
